Pray for Those in Authority

1 Timothy 2:1-6 King James Version (KJV)

1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Let us not forget that it is the wisdom from above that is needed for our government to successfully lead this nation to peace, prosperity, and victory of its enemies in whatever form that may be. The power of God’s Holy Spirit is still very much active over the face of this earth looking for whom He may use and guide. I pray that He would move over each and every member of our administration, congress, courts, and other governments, and bring God’s conviction where needed. That He would humble them to serve the people that elected and appointed them by the grace, mercy, and humility, and wisdom made possible through Jesus Christ. Amen
